The subjects present in my work focus on the preconceived gaps between communities of cultures, subcultures and generations. Specifically, I focus on multiple perspectives or individuals from different backgrounds abilities to come together through common interests or grounds. America is a melting pot of different races, genders, cultures, religions and so forth. My work uses symbols, direct and subjective imagery and naturalistic depictions and abstract forms to convey my messages. In the past I have explored themes associated with unspoken personal struggles, that no matter what background you come from, as a human you could experience. Themes such as depression, anxiety, mental illnesses as well as spirituality, and new age ideas. In the work done before my transfer to UND my work was inspired by the same ideas but explored themes of individuals finding common ground through technologies, social media, and interests in popular cultures in music and television.

Currently my work has shifted to being more personal to my own personal experiences and ideas as a Native American, female, mother, artist. I continue to make work with deeper meaning that one can find their own interpretations in.

Physically I enjoy expressing through hands on technical work mostly with drawing and painting, I also use elements of collage in my pieces. Included in my samples are also digital works. I also enjoy using portraiture and naturalism in my work, but obscuring things in a way they aren't completely naturalistic. My preferred medium of choice would be acrylics or a gesso, as well as enhancing a fine art piece with digital effects.
